About Amanda
Pronouns: she/her
Hi, I’m Amanda, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Longleaf. I work with teens and adults navigating life’s challenges—from traumatic experiences and anxiety to depression, self-esteem struggles, and major transitions. I also support individuals exploring their neurodivergence, managing relationship dynamics, or working through self-harm and communication barriers.
My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, ADHD, self-harm, mood disorders, family conflict, and interpersonal relationship challenges.
I am also an Evergreen Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, trained to support clients through the impact of trauma using an integrative and evidence-based approach. I am regularly adding to my knowledge and skill set through various training and educational opportunities. I have been in practice since 2019, with nearly six years of experience providing individual mental health therapy in outpatient settings. Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of populations, including children, teens, young adults/college students, and adults.
I joined Longleaf because I believe deeply in our mission: creating a space grounded in compassion, collaboration, authenticity, and holistic care. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and that’s exactly why I take an integrative, person-centered approach—tailoring each session to your unique needs and goals.
I offer in person therapy in Raleigh, NC and virtual therapy to clients who reside in the State of NC.

counseling approach
My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and real. I’ll meet you where you are, move at your pace, and create a space where you can feel safe, supported, and genuinely seen. Sometimes we’ll dig deep, sometimes we’ll laugh—but always, we’ll work together with honesty and curiosity. I draw from a range of evidence-based practices. When working with trauma, I utilize trauma-informed and body-aware strategies that help clients process and integrate their experiences safely. My work is also influenced by attachment theory, and interpersonal neurobiology, and mindfulness-based practices.
Whether we are exploring patterns of thinking, building coping skills, or working through past experiences, I aim to create a space that is non-judgmental, collaborative, and empowering.
I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation of meaningful work in therapy. I place great emphasis on creating a warm, supportive, and trusting environment where clients feel seen, heard, and respected. Therapy, including building rapport, is a collaborative process, and I strive to meet each client with authenticity, empathy, and curiosity. This connection helps create the safety needed to explore challenges and work towards change.
I believe that therapy is not one-size fits all, and I aim to tailor our work together in a way that supports your goals, values, and lived experiences.
I believe that healing isn’t linear, but that every small step matters—and that lasting change happens when we work together with trust, respect, and a sense of shared purpose. Together, we will explore challenges with curiosity and compassion, allowing space for growth, insight, and the development of skills that foster lasting change and emotional well-being.
