We provide individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults.
lndividual therapy is a form of therapy where a person meets one-on-one with a therapist to address emotional, psychological, behavioral issues that can stem from trauma, anxiety, life transitions and more. You may just need a listening ear or you may need to address self harm, learn how to set boundaries, or address recent or previous trauma. Everyone has a place in individual therapy. It allows for a personalized approach to understanding and resolving personal challenges through modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, dialectical behavioral therapy, talk therapy, etc.
-
Family therapy involves working with the family unit to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and work on interpersonal resolutions. It focuses on understanding the dynamics within the family system and how they contribute to individual and relational family concerns and needs. Sessions focus on individuals and their strengths and needs they bring to the family system.
Family therapy helps with adaptive ways of communicating, interacting, addressing unresolved conflict, boundary setting, and strengthening relationships.
This can be beneficial to any family but specifically to families experiencing divorce, various challenges, parenting concerns, substance use within the family, and major life transitions.
-
Group therapy involves a small group of individuals, typically led by a licensed therapist, coming together to discuss their shared lived experiences. It provides a supportive environment where participants can provide insights, feedback, and encouragement to one another. Group therapy fosters a sense of belonging and community.

Survivors of sexual violence—often present with behaviors or disclosures that can be confusing or counterintuitive from a legal standpoint. Understanding how trauma impacts brain development, memory formation, and emotional regulation is crucial for building a strong, ethical, and victim-centered case.
We work closely with professionals across systems to ensure that survivor experiences are interpreted through a compassionate, developmentally appropriate, and clinically accurate lens. Our goal is to enhance clarity and credibility, reduce retraumatization, and support a collaborative response rooted in best practices.
Whether you’re preparing for trial, navigating an active investigation with complex mental health diagnoses, navigating a forensic interview, or reviewing clinical documentation, we’re here to help bridge the gap between trauma science and real-world application.

Mallory has 7 years of experience inside of the courtroom.
Specialized Expertise in Trauma, EMDR, and Victim-Centered and Focused Mental Health Care
Mallory provides expert witness testimony in felony-level crimes of person, including cases involving sexual violence, domestic violence, child abuse and neglect, and other violent person crime-related offenses.
Our clinical expertise, rooted in trauma-focused care and evidence-based practices like EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, TF-CBT, and neurobiology and trauma - helps clarify complex psychological responses that survivors may experience following violent person crimes.
Trauma and Memory: Understanding the Impact
Trauma fundamentally alters how memories are processed and stored. Unlike typical memories, traumatic memories may be fragmented, sensory-based, or inaccessible until triggered by a related stimulus. These neurological impacts explain why some survivors may appear disjointed, emotionally dysregulated, or even calm when recounting events—responses that are often misunderstood in legal contexts.
EMDR and Trauma
EMDR is a globally recognized, evidence-based therapy that facilitates the reprocessing of traumatic memories so individuals can experience healing without being re-traumatized. Our expertise in EMDR allows us to offer nuanced insight into how trauma therapy works, how it affects memory retrieval, and how healing can unfold over time—often revealing more clarity as distress reduces. It also assists with testimony on how a victim/survivor will appear on the stand after participating in EMDR.
Victim Responses and Recantation
Survivor reactions are diverse and often counterintuitive. Victims may delay disclosure, minimize harm, recant, or re-engage with their perpetrator—none of which negate the validity of their trauma. These behaviors are protective survival strategies rooted in the brain’s trauma response, including freeze, fawn, or dissociation. We help courts understand these patterns in context, reducing the risk of misinterpretation.
Expert Services Offered:
Expert witness testimony in felony-level trials involving trauma, interpersonal violence, and mental health.
In-depth record reviews to assess clinical consistency and trauma-informed care across case files.
Consultation on the intersection of mental health and victim-centered services, including how trauma affects behavior, cognition, and presentation.
Support for legal professionals seeking clarity on trauma dynamics, particularly those working in Special Victims Units (SVU) or Domestic Violence (DV) units.
With a background in collaboration of 5+ years with felony-level SVU law enforcement teams and DA’s offices, we offer trusted, trauma-informed insights that support survivor-centered justice while upholding legal rigor and clarity.
Let us help you bring trauma science into the courtroom—ensuring survivor experiences are understood with compassion and clinical accuracy.
