About Jane
Jane is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Associate (# P023607) and is an Associate Level Outpatient Therapist at Longleaf Counseling & Collaboration. She works with adolescents (11+) and adults, providing a collaborative, person-centered, and inclusive space where clients can feel heard, understood, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges. Jane primarily specializes in working with individuals experiencing eating disorders and body image concerns, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. She also works with families who are looking to strengthen their communication, connection, and understanding of one another.
Jane draws from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work, Narrative Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She particularly values the use of a trauma-informed lens to help clients develop greater self-understanding and compassion, especially when they feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve them.
She has a particular passion for supporting individuals navigating disordered eating and body image concerns. Jane understands that healing your relationship with food and your body is about so much more than food - it can involve identity, relationships, emotions, control, self-worth, and the ways we have learned to cope with difficult experiences. She works collaboratively with clients to explore these underlying experiences while supporting them in developing a more compassionate and flexible relationship with themselves.
When she isn’t in the office, Jane loves to be outdoors - hiking, skiing, walking, swimming… you name it! She also loves to read (usually around 70 books a year) and spend time snuggled up with her new kitten, Socks. On weekends, you’ll find her and her husband exploring the Triangle in search of the best sandwich or checking out a new coffee shop!
She offers in person and virtual therapy in Raleigh, NC and across the state.

counseling approach
Jane believes that therapy should be a space where you can show up as your wholeself - without having to have everything figured out before you walk through the door. Her approach is collaborative and person-centered, recognizing that you are the expert on your own experiences. She works alongside her clients to better understand where they are, identify what they need, and build practical tools for creating meaningful change. Jane strives to create a therapeutic environment that is warm, affirming, and honest. Sometimes healing starts with simply having a place where you can be honest about what is going on, laugh when you need to, cry when you need to, and know that someone is sitting with you through all of it.
Jane believes that therapy does not have to be intimidating or overly formal. She will meet you where you are, help you make sense of where you have been, and work alongside you as you figure out where you want to go next.
Jane integrates a range of evidence-based modalities to support clients in meaningful, lasting change. She has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), parts work, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral
Her goal is to provide a safe, inclusive, and judgment-free space where clients can begin and continue their healing journey.
