Kristen is an Outpatient Therapist at Longleaf Counseling & Collaboration.

Reaching out for support can be incredibly vulnerable—and also incredibly brave. Whether you're navigating the effects of trauma, feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or depression, or working through challenges in relationships or self-worth, you deserve to feel supported, safe, and seen. Kristen believes her role is to walk alongside you, together, as we make sense of what’s been hard and uncover what’s possible.

Kristen works with teens and young adults (ages 14–21), as well as adults of any age, who may be experiencing a range of challenges including interpersonal violence (emotional, physical, sexual, verbal, or financial), sexual assault, trauma, anxiety, depression, substance misuse, relationship stress, burnout, self-harm, or struggles with self-esteem, self-compassion, and boundaries.

Her approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and rooted in compassion. She uses a client-centered, strength-based framework, which means she prioritizes your lived experience, your values, and your voice in the therapeutic process. You are the expert on your life, and she is here to help guide and support you as you explore your goals and work toward healing.

In sessions with her, Kristen shares the following: “I’ll meet you exactly where you are—without judgment or expectation. I believe in showing up authentically, listening deeply, validating your experiences, and creating a space where you feel safe enough to challenge old patterns, explore new perspectives, and grow into the version of yourself you want to be. Sometimes we’ll laugh, sometimes we’ll sit with tough emotions—and all of it is welcome.”

Kristen shares that her focus is on fostering a compassionate, non-judgmental and supportive environment, and - encouraging personal growth and healing. She believes all people have the ability to change and heal and may just need a little help in building the skills and confidence to do so.

As your therapist, Kristen states “I promise to provide transparency and authenticity. provide evidence-based research modalities in an environment that fosters safety, and ready to empower you to make the changes you wish to see. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is essential in creating an adaptive, collaborative and therapeutic experience for clients. Wherever you are in your journey, you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to walk beside you, support you, and help you reconnect with your strength and your story.”
